New Ford Fiesta
The new seventh generation Ford Fiesta was released this summer. It has gotten a new design which George Saridaki, the exterior design director at Ford of Europe, said that the new styling is “more evolution than revolution, with a more mature approach”.
The new model is 71mm longer and 12mm wider making it roomier on the inside compared to the outgoing model, giving you more head and leg room. It also features a wider dashboard and all the main functions, apart from climate control, are operated through the touchscreen, making it easier to use.
Ford have made each model in the range distinctive from the other. The Titanium has a different chrome grille and simpler front and rear bumpers. The ST-Line gets a sportier look with a different mesh for a bespoke grille and deeper front bumper. The Vignale, the range topper, will have unique 18-inch alloys, a panoramic roof and on the inside there is Tuxedo-stitched leather seats and bespoke trim inlays with a 3D texture.
With the help of Ford ECOnetic Technology, Fiesta’s latest engines are remarkably fuel-efficient. The 1.0 Ford EcoBoost 125 PS petrol engine achieves an impressive 4.3L/100km, with only 98g/km of CO2 emissions. The 1.5 85 PS diesel engine is even more frugal, achieving a combined fuel consumption of 3.5L/100km and CO2 emissions of just 89g/km.
Some of the technology available in the new Fiesta are:
- Ford SYNC 3 which integrates seamlessly with your smartphone letting you control everything from phone calls and text messaging to music and sat nav.

- Active Park Assist
